PRESIDENT'S LETTER

Hi Ladies,

Happy Valentine's Day to each and everyone of you!

This month it is time to cash in your purple funny money at the GI Bill Auction.  Just wait until you see what Liz has collected from us over this last year for us to bid on!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Linda Grass and her family in the loss of their brother.

This month we will vote on the Staying Rules and By-laws.  Copies of both were handed out at last months meeting for you to review.  There has been a suggestion to change the length of time for someone to hold a Chairman position from two years to as long as they are willing to serve.

Birth Day Girls remember your items for our Raffle table!

Happy Painting and God Bless,

Carla

*****SPECIAL MESSAGE*****

Hi Everyone,
I have spoken with Lori, Dot's daughter.  She has asked that anyone who has items of Dots that they were finishing.....she would love to have them.  She is especially interested in something that she describes as one in a series of seasons...she has all but the one.  I have a few things that I have recently finished and will be taking to Lori, if anyone has things completed and would like me to take them, I will.  Also pass this along to anyone that may have things they are finishing up and do not belong to Tumbleweed Tolers.
Thanks,
Nancy Houck

WHAT'S NEW

I know there are many of us that began painting with Judy Lopez that taught at Glendale Parks and Rec.  She stopped a few years ago and I will be teaching classes there now ( Glendale Foothills Aquatic Center). These are  6 weeks sessions.
If anyone is interested or knows anyone that would like to start painting.  There are beginning classes and continuing classes.  Painting classes = new painters = new members for Tumbleweed Tolers!
Thanks,
Carolyn

  GET INVOLVED

 (THE G.I. BILL)

The G.I. Bill is a great way to get involved in the success of your chapter and to meet fellow members as well as expressing your artistic talents.

Tumbleweed Tolers is your chapter and you as members make it an event to look forward to and your participation is paramount to its success.

The G.I Bill is a great incentive to get our chapter members to become more involved in our chapter events.  G.I. Bills are our chapter’s official currency, exchangeable only at our Christmas party’s G.I auction. To earn G.I. Bills you need to participate in certain “chapter chores”, such as attending meeting, wearing your name badge, bringing a guest, donating items to raffle, etc…the possibilities are endless.  The more you get involved the more bills you earn.

Throughout the year we will ask that each member donate one painted piece to this event, big bills will be paid out for this “chapter chore” and you get to use your bills at the auction in December.

This event is truly one to look forward too!! The more you do the more you earn and the more bills you have to spend at the auction.  Our members always donate such lovely pieces and the fun and excitement is infectious.  Plus it is free since the Bills aren’t real money.

This event is in addition to our Christmas auction and presidents raffle.  It will be a fun and exciting time, the bidding frenzy at this auction is intense and you won’t want to be left out.  Your bills are earned throughout the year and you get to determine how much you will have to spend. So I encourage you to get involved in this fun chapter event, it will only be a success if we make it one.
